Javier Elipe Gimeno
Composer, researcher, and PhD in musicology, Javier Elipe studied composition and musicology in Valencia, Paris, Geneva, and Tallinn. An instrumental composer interested in mixed music, he often creates projects in connection with experimental cinema. In 2015, he defended a thesis at the University Paris VIII entitled Composing to Silent Flim: A Theoretical and Practical Approach.
His works have been performed in Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy and Estonia in festivals such as ManiFeste (IRCAM-Paris), Archipel (Geneva), Semaine du Son (Geneva), Estonian Music Days (Tallinn–Estonia), Composers Festival (Tartu-Estonia), Ensems (Valencia-Spain), and the Venice Biennale (Italy).
