Making music with the electricity of the body, muscle and brain.

Performance by Atau Tanaka with Cicanoise.

Atau Tanaka creates and performs gestural music by capturing the physiological signal of the muscle (electromyogram signal, EMG).

Cicanoise, a self-taught musician with a psycho-motor handicap, comes from the brut-pop scene and plays electronic music on modular synthesizers. Following a first meeting at the Sonic Protest Festival in 2021, this collaboration is developing within the framework of the BBDMI project: experimenting in musical circumstances with new prototypes of body interfaces. The EAVI EMG prototype will be tested for the first time in public in a musical context open to neurodiversity.
