Seminar and concert
Where, when, and how was the first synthesized music produced in France? Who are the pioneers of French digital sound?
These are the main questions that will be at the heart of these two days, during which leading figures (Jacques Arveiller, Marc Battier, Jérôme Chailloux, Andrew Gerzso, Yann Geslin, Guy Médigue, Michel Redolfi, Xavier Rodet) will look back on the pioneering research carried out at the Groupe art et informatique de Vincennes (GAIV), the Groupe de recherches musicales (GRM), the Centre d'études de mathématique et automatique musicale (CEMAMu), the Laboratoire de mécanique et acoustique (LMA), the Groupe de musique expérimentale de Marseille (GMEM) and the Institut de recherche et coordination acoustique/musique (Ircam).
