Congratulations to Paul Lascabettes, student at the École Normale Supérieure, who received the AFIM Young Researcher Award for his presentation
"Analysis of spatial representations of music by simple operators of mathematical morphology":
https://jim2020.sciencesconf.org/
at the Journées d'Informatique Musicale 2020 in Strasbourg.
The AFIM prize rewards young researchers for the quality of the work they present. Eligible are researchers who present their work at the JIM, they must be the first author of the submitted paper and ensure the oral presentation of this paper.
Paul Lascabette did this work as part of his ATIAM internship with Carlos Agon and Isabelle Bloch, with whom he published it.
Since the beginning of the academic year, he is a PhD student in the Musical Representations team (STMS) for the COSMOS project with Elaine Chew.
Work on mathematical morphology continues in the (F)O(R)M pole of repmus (Carlos Agon + Karim Haddad, PhD student Gonzalo Romero, with Isabelle Bloch).
