Léopold Crestel
I am a PhD. student working under the supervision of Philippe Esling and Geoffroy Peeters. I am interested in any topic related to artificial intelligence applied to music, but my PhD. is more specifically focused on automatic arrangement relying solely on symbolic information, which means using only the information contained in the musical scores and no audio information. My objective is to build a system able to automatically produce an orchestral version of any piano score. To do so, I investigate statistical learning methods, and more precisely a class of models called Neural Networks.
