Sivan Eldar
Born in Tel Aviv (in 1985), Sivan Eldar has a degree in composition from New England Conservatory and a doctorate in composition from Berkeley, which she conducted under the supervision of Franck Bedrossian and Edmund Campion. She studied computer music at CNMAT and at IRCAM with Hèctor Parra. Eldar’s works include close collaborations with musicians from both the classical and nonclassical world, as well as artists from all horizons; theater, dance and digital arts. From 2019 to 2022, she pursued an artistic residency at the Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie, where she ran workshops for budding playwrights. In 2022, she wrote her first opera, Like flesh, together with writer Cordelia Lynn.
